Our story
Why D'Angelli exists
Almost every family pictures the same thing: a fairytale quinceañera, in a beautiful hall, with crystal and good china. And almost every family runs into the same wall when they add it up. D'Angelli exists to close that gap — so a family on a real budget can still have a party that looks and feels expensive.
Oriol Eduardo D'Angelli founded the business on that idea and hasn't moved off it. “We compete with elegance, not with prices,” he says. “And when we say elegance, we mean simple and attractive.”
What lets both of those be true at once is how the business is built: we're not middlemen, we own what we put in the room. The crystal, the centerpieces, the backdrops, the linens, the china — it's ours. We don't rent it from another company and resell it to you. That's the whole trick, and it's why the price can come down without the materials coming down with it.
We've been doing this more than ten years, we serve Chicago and the suburbs, and we've produced parties for up to 700 guests. Most of our clients didn't find us in an ad: another family who had their party with us sent them.

Who's behind it
Oriol Eduardo D'Angelli
Founder of D'Angelli Decor & Flavor.
He founded the business to serve Chicago's Hispanic community and still runs it, with José leading the decor side. Quinceañeras are the bulk of what we do — and they're also the events where families most easily get lost, because the list of things to decide never seems to end.
“The clients are our top priority. We guide them throughout the entire process and we're always there for them, helping them in whatever we can.”
We handle everything the larger companies offer — from the candles and the crystal to the wait staff — and we stay current with where decor is going. The difference is the price we deliver it at, and the fact that we actually understand who we're delivering it to.
Advice from the owner
Before you sign with anyone — us or anybody else
The most expensive mistake in a quinceañera isn't picking the wrong hall. It's signing something that doesn't spell out what's included. This is what Oriol tells every family, whether or not they hire us:
Meet the person who'll actually do the work
Not the salesperson. The person who will be there on Saturday setting up your room. If you can't meet them before the event, ask yourself why.
Read the contract slowly
It should say how many tables, how many hours of bar, how many servers, what time they arrive and what time they strike. “Decor included” is not a quantity.
What you were shown is what you should get
“What we show you when you meet with us is what you will get, and we specify those details in the contract,” Oriol says. Ask for it in writing. Anyone unwilling to put it in writing is telling you something.
